private company in our industry. Beverage Food Technologist We currently have an immediate opportunity for a BEVERAGE FOOD
TECHNOLOGIST to join our FLAVORS DIVISION at our North American headquarters
located in PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Job Responsibility - Develop application bases to showcase flavor solutions -
Keep abreast of latest technical knowledge in terms of ingredients,
formulations and processes through networking, interacting with suppliers,
study and training - Maintain organized and efficient laboratory equipment and
environment, - Provide technical support to internal and external customers
as needed; - Participate in and contribute technical expertise for account
planning, category planning and strategic project planning sessions - Provide
ongoing support in the development of winning collections; - Work with Sales
and BU to maintain relationships at our customers and participate in a
team-selling approach - Interface with other support groups at Firmenich, e.g. Regulatory, Sensory, to anticipate
customer needs and properly address commercial opportunities in the execution
of briefs - Assures that accurate applications data is kept and filed. -
Selection of flavors for brief execution - Selection or creation of
application formulas for optimal showcasing of Firmenich
flavors - Purchase of lab equipment within Firmenich
finance rules. - Propose technical solutions to customers. - Development and
selection of Application products for marketing presentations - Resolution of
internal and external technical problems. Measure customer satisfaction and
feedback. - Submission of applications in time for internal/external
customers
Profile Bachelor of Science degree (Food Science/Technology, Chemistry or
related field) - Must have 2-5 years experience in
flavor applications - Experience in a food manufacturing company is highly
preferred - Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills -
Ability to work in team environment and demonstrate leadership qualities -
Achieve results as technical team member to develop, design, and execute
experiments and report/interpret results - Demonstrate outstanding time
management skills and the ability to multi-task
