Safety / Sanitation Manager (MUST HAVE FOODS MANUFACTURING) 55-65K Job
Description: The Food Safety Manager will facilitate development,
implementing and training for comprehensive systems to ensure food safety and
sanitation is maintained to plant and customer satisfaction. The focus will
be consistent adherence to documented regulatory, corporate and local
regulations, standards and practices, The associate will act as primary Food
Safety and Sanitation resource. The food Safety Manager will be responsible
to conduct risk based Food Safety and Sanitation Audits. The associate will
be responsible to review the corrective action for the audit deficiencies and
monitor the status of corrective action. The associate will lead with
behaviors that promote cultural change through understanding team based
associate relationships. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Managing the
Food Safety Program. Develop and implement technical plans, clearly defining
the critical issues and approach to be used in resolving food safety issues.
Conduct food safety reviews for new product launch. Determine performance
with existing customers. Develop and manage food safety auditing system using
internal audits and reviewing third party audits. Present persuasive
presentations to management on recommendations. Conducts formal facility risk
assessments and prioritize work based on assigned risks. Provides timely,
concise, accurate reports of the audit findings. Reviews all facilities
corrective action for inspection deficiencies. Facilitates compliance with
all food safety programs – HACCP, GMP’s, Allergen control, lot traceability,
associate food safety training. Monitors effectiveness of Master Cleaning
Sanitation Schedule, cleaning procedures, chemical usage and chemical safety.
Coaches/trains facility management staff were necessary. Supports company
initiatives to reduce Consumer Complaints; Foreign Material Requirements;
Bachelor Science Degree in food safety related field. Minimum if one to five
years experience in food safety or Quality Assurance. Thorough understanding
of food safety principles and food processing. HACCP Certified requires. Food
Safety and Sanitation auditing experience required. Effective written and
verbal communication skills with internal and external customers. Minimal
Travel. Strong interpersonal; and communication skills. Organized and detail
oriented
