Job Description

Company/Product: Multi-billion poultry/meat producer is seeking a Corporate Food Safety Manager II due to significant double-digit growth and expansion. Actual location TBD –due to travel required, individual may possibly be able to work from home provided there is proximity to a major airport.

Job Description: Provide food safety guidance and expertise, including implementation of HACCP and supporting programs to company facilities, suppliers and third party storage facilities. Assists in implementation of corporate policies.

Position duties and responsibilities:

1. Perform evaluation and verification of HACCP plans to ensure that HACCP procedures are being followed and documented in all company facilities and joint venture partnerships. 2. Assist in development and implementation of HACCP and support programs including GHP’s, sanitation and pest control. 3. Assist in developing food safety policies and procedures. 4. Participate in problem solving on food safety and regulatory problems. 5. Assist in design, development and delivery of food safety training. 6. As needed, assist in correcting plant problems of a microbiological nature. 7. Conduct audits of company facilities, suppliers and non-company storage facilities to ensure they meet or exceed company standards. 8. Keep abreast of regulatory developments as they relate to food safety, notify management of important issues and suggest needed actions. 9. Maintains appropriate confidentiality.

Education: Bachelors of Science in Food Science, Meat Science or related sciences

Experience: At least five years work experience in the food industry in Food Safety Ability to interpret lab results in relation to plant operations Ability to trouble shoot issues related to spoilage and product safety HACCP trained Ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel

Salary: Up to $105,000 plus bonus Relocation package available Outstanding benefits package
