SAFETY MANAGER NEEDED FOR NORTHWEST ARKANSAS Position Objective: To
assist plant management in meeting all requirements of the HACCP Plan.
Essential Job Functions: Must have a Bachelors
Degree Must be able to work in a cool, wet and noisy environment Must be
able to work any hours as needed Critical Skills: Will be able to
communicate effectively at all levels, both written and verbal. Will be
proficient in the use of a personal computer including Microsoft Word and
PowerPoint. Will demonstrate knowledge relating to HACCP programs or
attend HACCP training immediately after hire. Will demonstrate some
knowledge of federal regulations pertaining to food products.
Responsibilities: Reviews daily HACCP, SSOP and GMP records, and analyzes
corrective actions and preventive measure responses, preoperational
procedures/records and noncompliance reports. Performs weekly visual
observation of pre-operational procedures and inspection. Establishes
statistical methods/procedures for measuring and tracking process
capabilities. Prepares trend analysis reports of HACCP and SSOP issues
for management. Participates in process improvement efforts with
maintenance, sanitation and operations personnel. Participates in weekly
meeting with FSIS inspection personnel. Participates in and/or leads
weekly meeting with plant personnel (unless Operations Manager prefers to
lead meeting). Maintains HACCP Plans, Hazard Analysis and Flowcharts and
updates these as plant changes occur. Maintains documented food safety
training program for all hourly employees and management personnel at the
plant. Accomplishes quality performance in all responsibilities being
performed in a manner which meets or exceeds all company guidelines for a
total quality program of continuous process improvement and customer
relations. Meets safety requirements in accomplishing responsibilities of
this position complying with all policies or regulations set forth by
Simmons Foods, Inc. or various government agencies concerning safety,
environment, vehicles, handling of food
products, packaging, ingredients and any related items. Accomplishes
other duties as directed by supervisor. Equipment: Will use personal
computer and various office equipment as required.
