FOOD
SAFETY TECHNICIAN Provide a variety of clerical / technical functions to
support the plant Food Safety department by ensuring all required
documentation is collected, logged, tracked and reported as required by the
plant Food Safety plan and USDA regulatory requirements. Essential Duties:
Assist Food Safety Analyst and / or Manager with collecting, reviewing and
logging daily HACCP and operating procedure paperwork including following up
with appropriate plant personnel to make sure all paperwork is received and
accurate. Maintain plant training logs to ensure appropriate plant personnel
have been trained on required training materials. Assist the Food Safety
Analyst and / or Food Safety Manager in keeping all Food Safety plans and
procedures current and up-to-date. Assist Food Safety Analyst and / or Food
Safety Manager with required tests or samples as needed to support the Food
Safety system. File and track Food Safety documentation. Other duties as
assigned. Qualifications: GED or High School Diploma plus two or more years
of clerical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior Food Safety or science experience a plus.
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite software, e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint; UNIX
applications (SAP) Detail Oriented Strong Organizational Skills Must perform
bending, squatting, sitting and reaching from floor level to six feet in
height for filing and sorting. Must be able to sit for the duration of two
hours for computer work Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of
two hours for observation studies. Must be able to climb stairs and lift and
/ or move up to 25 pounds Interested applicants should submit their
