For the Nestlé R&D Center Minneapolis (U.S.A.), developing products for Nestlé Health Science, we are looking for a:

Product Development Scientist

Overall Objective

Manage projects to deliver innovative and competitive products in response to consumer and business needs

Main Responsibilities

§ Define new recipes (incl. appropriate choice of raw materials) and processing technology to deliver products that perform to consumer needs and comply to internal and external quality and safety (e.g. regulatory) standards
§ Initiate scientific contributions and plan for bench scale and pilot plant trials as required
§ Manage projects according to Checkpoint Driven Project Management, including systematic application of IT tools
§ Work in project team with involved parties within R&D, Application Groups, Factories, Markets, Business
§ Manage relationship with external service providers
§ Communicate project results together with project team
§ Drive new ideas, propose new raw materials, processes, products, systems
§ Assure intellectual asset protection in close cooperation with Business Intellectual Asset Manager
§ Provide operational support and technical assistance

Education and Experience Required

§ BSc, MSc or PhD in Food science or technology

§ Preferably dairy science & technology, dairy product knowledge

§ Product development or factory experience appreciated

§ Fluent in English, other languages desirable

§ Good written, oral communication and presentation skills
