Overview:

Develops strategy and leads execution of the Quality and Food Safety agenda enterprise wide thus influencing our business strategy. Ensures that world class quality and food safety standards are continually developed and maintained, thereby protecting our consumers from harm and enhancing our brands and our corporate reputation.

Ensures legal and regulatory compliance working closely with global and local agencies, corporate affairs, legal and marketing. Works closely with senior leaders across the business to deliver short and long term quality and risk management objectives. Leads the Quality and Food safety teams across the enterprise ensuring that we develop and maintain capability and talent sufficient to meet or goals.

Responsibilities:

Engages senior management and sets the strategy (Long range plan and annual plans) for Food Safety and the MCBC Quality function.

To lead a programme, in conjunction with regional Q&FS teams and business leadership, to develop, implement and maintain global standards for Quality and Food safety. Standards must be fit for purpose, consistent, easy to understand, available at point of use, ensure legal compliance and define Enterprise requirements.

To establish fit for purpose Quality and Food safety goals, objectives and both lagging and leading KPIs that clearly demonstrate to both internal and external stakeholders quality performance including wholly owned, joint venture, contract and third party sites and suppliers. To monitor and review performance ensuring that risks are identified early and that robust corrective and preventative action plans are developed and implemented across the business as required.

To monitor the internal and external Quality and Food Safety risk environment in order to identify any trends or emerging issues that will impact on our ability to meet quality and food safety goals. To identify, assess, communicate and mitigate risks across the business and implement and monitor corrective and preventative action plans.

To develop in conjunction with the Global Sr. Director of EH&S, regional Quality and Food safety teams and brewery leadership teams across the enterprise a programme of audit and compliance measurement and reporting that clearly demonstrates the degree to which sites are compliant or otherwise to the standards and clear action plans to close compliance gaps.

Qualifications:

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in scientific or Quality/Food safety related discipline

Education Preferred: Post graduate qualification in relevant discipline, e.g. Msc

Skills Required: 10 years experience leading the quality agenda in multi regional or global FMCG businesses in increasingly senior roles

Skills Preferred: Deep knowledge of food, beverage or brewing industry
