POSITION SUMMARY:

The Release Coordinator – Batch Release position is responsible for ensuring final compliance to food safety and quality standards prior to batch disposition. The primary requirement of this position includes providing scheduling support to restrained and finished goods department for timely release and prioritization of FERT batches. Focused improvement in First Time Quality and On Time Release continuous improvement.


This position is also responsible for the administration of the PR system, performing training on Operational Deviation Reporting as well as PR review and approval.

Employee must support and comply with all Nestlé programs and policies, including affirmative action goals and commitments, SHE strategies, corporate citizenship initiatives, GMP’s and Safety Policies to ensure employee safety and product quality. Employee must meet all requirements related to NQMS and ISO standards for Quality, Food Safety, Environmental Compliance and Occupational Health and Safety.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the Hold and Restrain System of Finished Product and Raw Material – to include providing data regarding COD, Donate and Destroy

• Administration of incoming packaging materials program for compliance and continuous improvement

• Administer deviation reporting system for nonconforming FERT, HALB and ZPCK


• Direct coordination with DC for product disposition batch status and change of status reporting

• Ensure compliance to Nestle guidance documents through review and interpretation to SOP and processes

• Provide support to incoming raw materials program via incoming material scheduling or back up for 001 release

• Administration of inline statistical process data collection tool utilized by operations to track inline testing

• Perform routine SAP/GLOBE health checks and participate in Trace and Recall procedure excercises


• Providing support to other quality systems within the plant as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

Associate’s Degree relating to manufacturing, chemisty, microbiology, food science/related technical field or business. Consideration will be applied to candidates without associate’s degrees who have 3+ years related work experience.

 

EXPERIENCE:


Required:
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred: Experience in regulated food, drug, or medical device manufacturing environment with exposure to good manufacturing practices, lean manufacturing philosophy, and ISO 22000/ SQF regulations. Experience or education in food science, biology or chemistry.
