Job Summary
Responsible for analysis and verification required in Barry Callebaut QDS System as well as ensuring all production process control. In addition, must demonstrate ownership in plant and food safety, including all regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions
Conduct analytical testing of products and raw materials.
Sample during process and conduct QAS/QC tests.
Coordinate sensory analysis.
Maintain, clean and calibrate laboratory equipment.
Maintain operating and training manuals.
Conduct quality audits.
Evaluate test data and deviations; verify Certificate of Analysis (COAs).
Process all non-conforming prouducts against company established quality standards.
Initiate and carry out improvement projects to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Assist with establishment of Standard Operating Procedures relevant to the factory.
Monitor inventory levels, order materials and supplies.
Assist with new employee orientation and training.

Job Qualifications
BS Food Science or related degree and minimum of two years related experience in regulatory environment, or combination of experience and education preferred.
Prior knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, Quality Systems, Standard Operating Procedures, test methods and taste testing skills.

Environmental/Working Conditions
Must be able to work in all areas of the factory as well as office environment and laboratory.
Some exposure in a high noice or heat environment.
Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
