We are looking for a candidate with Quality Assurance Food Safety supervisory experience.

The Quality Assurance Supervisoris responsible for delivering food safety, quality assurance, and R&D products and services to approximately 100+ non-union hourly and salaried/clerical associates.These services include, but are not limited to; adhering to Daily's Premium Meats policies and procedures, regulatory compliance with USDA, customer requirements, design of plant systems, 3rd party audits, GMP's, SQF, SSOP, and HACCP programs, micro and ATP testing, pest control, all water/wastewater permit and sampling, development and training, and assessing needs and facilitating communication among employees and management .

*Maintain, communicates and trains written policies and procedures.Formulates and recommends new policies or changes to current policies to management. Conducts a continuing review of all GMP's, SQF, QA, and Food Safety policies, programs and practices to keep the company abreast of current practices and informed of new developments. Supports operations in ensuring that training, testing, and new product development is done in compliance with applicable USDA, customer, and company standards.

*Maintains, updates, and monitors all facets of HACCP, GMP, SQF, & SSOP, with respect to USDA, company, and customer requirements.

*Interact with USDA on all levels concerning issues with plant policies, facility, and programs.Directs subordinates with respect to local USDA representative and higher officials.Maintain and update all required records and non-compliance issues.

*Responsible for QA personnel, direction, follow up, scheduling, evaluations etc.

*Ensures federal and state compliance with all USDA and company Food Safety and QA policies and procedures. Responsible for assigned locations which ensure that mandatory information is maintained pursuant to company policies and procedures.Conduct investigations with support of operations and support departments, to ensure consistency.

*Develops and performs training programs relating to all areas of HACCP, food safety, and QA policies and procedures. Conduct semi-annual training on QA and food safety related topics to ensure compliance with USDA, customer, and management development topics.

*Responds to questions regarding the understanding, interpretation, and implementation of food safety, QA, and R&D policies and procedure.

ØPreferred but not mandatory, ability to maintain all associated permits and forms associated with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and the Missoula Wastewater System. Maintain all required monthly or time specific permit forms that are required by DEQ or the Missoula Wastewater System. Sample wastewater that is discharged according to DEQ or Missoula Wastewater System permits. Sample water according to the EPA Safe Water Drinking Water Act for any facility servicing 25 persons or more.

*Bachelor's degree in food science, agriculture, or related in plant experience.Must have the ability to complete HACCP Certification within 6 months of accepting position.

*Minimum of threeyears experiencein a QA/ Food Safety/Sanitation with supervisory experience.

*Knowledge of laws and regulations relating to: General QA Management, USDA, FDA, Food Safety Audits, Labeling, Micro testing, GMP and SSOP programs.

*Ability to work well with others with diverse backgrounds and at various organizational levels.

*Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver professional services.

*Talent for multitasking, with superior attention to detail and organized.

*Ability to work well both independently and in teams.

*Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree preferred in Food Technology or related field, with a minimum of threeyears experiencein an QA/ Food Safety role, preferably in food manufacturing/production environment.Meat processing industry experience is preferred.

Bottom Line Requirements:

1.Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology or related.

2.3 + years of experience in a Quality Assurance Food Safety supervisory role.

3.HACCP certification or ability to obtain.

4.General QA Management, USDA, FDA, Food Safety Audits, Labeling, Micro testing, GMP and SSOP programs experience.
