Basic Purpose

 Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager- The responsibilities include work directly in conjunction with senior production management staff/ addressing food safety.

Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager-

 

The responsibilities include work directly in conjunction with senior production management staff/ addressing food safety.

 

Review and maintain the (HACCP) Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Plan, (SSOP) Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures and (GMP's) Good Manufacturing Practices.

 

Will maintain and file all records/ documents pertaining to the establishment's (HACCP) Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Plan, (SSOP) Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures and (GMP's) Good Manufacturing Practices.

 

Will monitor and verify that the programs noted above are being performed and documented correctly during day-to-day operations.

 

Conduct pre-op inspections.

 

Check and maintain calibration of instruments on processing equipment.

 

Responsible for maintaining a rating of Superior on internal and external audits.

 

Conduct swab test.

 

Assist in developing product specifications.

 

Work in direct relation with the USDA Inspector regarding compliance, food safety and/or structural concerns.

Qualifications

 

High school diploma is required. A college degree in food science or safety is preferred.

2 years of QA, QC experience in the cooked meat industry preferred (USDA facility)

HACCP certified

Computer literate in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Must be able to stand on the job and work in a cold/wet environment
