We are looking for a dynamic, detail oriented Product Developer for our Innovation department. Organization, creativity, and being exceptional in the development and execution of recipes, are keys to success in this position.

The Position

You can call it Food Scientist, Product Developer, Pastry Chef, or R&D Guru . For us, this position calls for a results-driven leader, a foodie to infuse creativity and passion in our product development efforts. Your Food Science and Product Development expertise will be at work consistently! The position juggles constant changes in priorities and customer needs. It requires strong project management skills to lead the product development cycle, from defining customer expectations to commercialization of products.



To be successful in this role you must love baking; sweet, savory, small and large batches- Your palate knows no bounds. You only use natural and seasonal ingredients for your creations, and have a good sense of new food and flavor trends. You love the challenge of figuring out how to make frozen pastries taste fresh or make fresh pastries last longer on the shelf without the addition of preservatives. You understand Wholesale baking operations, baker %, product life extension as well as  ingredients and commercial equipment functionality.  


You should have recent Product Development experience in a food manufacturing operation with commercialization background. BS in Food Science, Baking or Culinary Arts. 5+ years experience in product / recipe development. Experience in creating customized products for customers. High level of skill and comfort in working with a cross-functional team: Sales, Production, QA, Supply Chain.  Excel and Genesis are some programs you know well. Shelf-life tests.
