Monitor, document and ensure compliance of all processes
related to the Food Safety (HACCP) and Quality Plans. Oversee the development,
implementation, review and maintenance of the SQF System, including food
safety fundamentals.

Oversee plant relationship with SQF Certification Body to
assure facility meets all requirements related to SQF Trademark use by
developing/maintaining systems to assure facility meets all SQF 2000 System
requirements.

Review, Develop, and Maintain: All required SQF registries,
internal non-conformance reports, PPM Food Safety and Quality documents;
master sanitation schedule, product holds, trailer inspection records, pest
control data, testing results of the Business Continuity Plan, and back
flow map.

Provide guidance and leadership in situations where
deviations have occurred or a potential food safety and/or quality
attributes risk has been identified; facilitate internal audits.

Develop and validate Food Safety or Quality Plans before
implementation; Assist with conducting bi-annual mock recalls to test
measures in place to recall product.

Verify each Pre-Requisite Program and Food Safety Plans and establish
a frequency schedule.
·
Coordinate with all production departments to develop robust
food safety and quality program.
·
Lead regular SQF meetings, including minutes and action
item/follow up; participate as part of a team to develop SPC implementation
and development for the plant.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
An Associate Degree in Food Science or related degree with
at least four years manufacturing experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in
Food Science, Microbiology, or Chemistry, with at least two manufacturing
experience preferred.
4 years manufacturing experience, dairy food production
preferred, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment under USDA
and/or FDA.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated leadership in the areas of food safety and
plant regulatory administration.
Possess an understanding of the Food Safety requirements to
implement and maintain HACCP based food safety plans relevant to the scope
of certification.
Ability to analyze processes for biological, chemical and
physical hazards with a thorough understanding of the science and support
behind each type of hazards and each step of the production process.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
