Description We
are seeking a food safety auditor for our Field Services group to
support audit/inspection services throughout the central South region; ideally,
the auditor will reside within / near the Dallas,
TX area. Food safety auditors
are responsible for providing audit/inspection services for product
certification, retail food safety, and other NSF clients.
Provide a timely response to corrective actions proposed by NSF
clients.
Develop cost effective work plans for the completion of assigned
audits.
Conduct special visits to investigate product failures and verify
the implementation of corrective actions taken by NSF clients.
Develop business by responding to inquiries, conducting
introductory visits, conducting seminars, and attending conferences in
support of NSF's business units (as authorized).
Support NSF's business units by assisting clients in the
identification of additional NSF services that may be beneficial (examples
- new products for certification, test only services, quality system registration).
Monitor and report client needs, service delivery issues, and
competitive threats to management team.
Investigate and resolve complaints.
Establish and maintain effective communication with project
managers as it relates to assigned clients.
Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in environmental health, related science, or
business.
A minimum of 1-2 years auditing/health inspection experience.
Ability to work independently from remote (home based) location.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
and PowerPoint.
Ability to obtain a profession registration (environmental health,
engineering, or related profession).
Preferred
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in environmental health, related science or
business.
Experience with retail food safety inspections / audits.
A minimum of two (2) years experience working in the public or
private sector as a health sanitarian.
Work experience as a chemist, microbiologist, or related quality
function.
Professional registration.
Language skills (Spanish or French).
