Job Description:
|
KEY TASKS:
- Interfaces with plant
management personnel and USDA inspection personnel as needed.
- Ensures plant procedures are
followed. Takes corrective action when necessary.
- Ensures compliance with
sanitation, sampling, micro and chemical, food safety, hygiene,
product spec, HACCP programs, plant policy
and procedure verification.
- Maintains current files on
USDA equipment, USDA manuals, labels and publication, HACCP programs, and
plant policies and procedures.
- Ensures acceptable raw
material standards are maintained.
- Reports to supervisor on
plant production performance relative to quality assurance issues
taking immediate corrective action if needed.
- Maintains inventory of product
or supplies.
- Operates and Monitors QA
related equipment such as fat analyzers, metal detectors, scales, code
daters and computers.
- Ability to perform all
essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Performs other duties as
assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic math skills required.
- Speaking clearly and
effectively; writing legibly and effectively; collect, analyze, and
interpret data from a wide variety of sources and taking appropriate
action.
- Accuracy with strong
attention to detail.
- Ability to work alone or with
little supervision.
- Must be able to lift, push
and pull up to 60lbs.
- This position requires
walking, standing, twisting, reaching, bending, climbing and lifting.
- Must be willing and able to
work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Compliance with all safety
and sanitation guidelines.
- Must have punctual and
reliable attendance.
