- Interfaces with plant
management personnel and USDA inspection personnel as needed.
- Ensures plant procedures are
followed. Takes corrective action when necessary.
- Ensures compliance with
sanitation, sampling, micro and chemical, food safety, hygiene,
product spec, HACCP programs, plant policy
and procedure verification.
- Maintains current files on
USDA equipment, USDA manuals, labels and publication, HACCP programs, and
plant policies and procedures.
- Ensures acceptable raw
material standards are maintained.
- Reports to supervisor on
plant production performance relative to quality assurance issues
taking immediate corrective action if needed.
- Maintains inventory of product
- Operates and Monitors QA
related equipment such as fat analyzers, metal detectors, scales, code
daters and computers.
- Ability to perform all
essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
