Title:Quality and Food Safety Internship The
candidate for this position will interact with a cross-functional team on the
development and improvement of quality and food safety principles for new and
existing products. He/she will execute experimentation in laboratory, pilot
plant, and manufacturing environments. The individual will gain working
knowledge of analytical or microbiological testing techniques, label and
ingredient statement development, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and
sanitation, food processing, quality documentation, and customer/consumer
feedback. Successful candidates will have a technical understanding of food
formulation, processing, and quality / food safety procedures. A general
awareness of government regulations, basic statistics, analytical and
microbiological laboratory practices, and quality / food safety principles
would be useful. Candidates
will have a partial completion of a BS Food Science, Food Technology,
Chemical Engineering or related degree (Sophomore/Junior at minimum).
Graduate students will also be considered. |
