Design and implementation of laboratory experiments to elucidate
photochemical reactions in food and beverage systems and the effect of
packaging materials; analysis and interpretation of experimental results;
communication of project results and interpretation (oral, written skills)
and preparation of reports for funding group(s), abstracts, manuscripts,
and technical posters; supervising graduate and/or undergraduate
researchers working on the project; assisting/contributing to proposal
writing for seeking related funding opportunities; other responsibilities
in support of research activities within laboratory group; contribute to
management of sensory evaluation experiments; contribute to processing and
packaging of beverages and foods for experiments.
MS with significant experience in preferred skill areas:
analytical experience with HPLC, demonstrated experience in experimental
design and statistical analyses, manuscript and proposal writing skills,
supervisory and communication skills.
PhD in food science, biochemistry, analytical chemistry or

Additional preferred skills include:
-Demonstrated creativity, independence and high motivation

-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all
levels of personnel in the organization
