Overview:

Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead Person, the Quality Assurance Floor Inspector monitors areas for adherence and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Also, responsible for adhering to the SOPs and cGMPs that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced. This is a second shift position - 3:00 - 11:30 P.M.

Responsibilities:

·         Conducts pre start-up room releases, pre-sart documentation and room clearance, in process documentation checks, release to run product in manufacturing

·         Conducts in-process sampling and physical testing of product with required paperwork, disintegration, hardness and other physical parameters for in process samples.

·         Compares to standard samples, verifyes product produced vs the specifications given in the batch records.

·         Utilizes computarized systems to report descrepant materials and route to MFG and other groups according to type of defect.

·         Assists Supervisor /Manager in the collection of information for the completion of investigations and non conformances.

·         Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance

·         Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines

·         Performs other duties as assigned

Experience:

at least 12-24 months in the food, dietary supplements, pharmaceutical, OTC solid dose ( capsules, tablets, softgels, caplets)

Previous experience performing root cause analysis, writing and reviewing standard operating procedures,

Performing on the job training sessions, individual and group settings.

Experience in QC or QA environments within the manufacturing field.

experienced in the use of Excel, word, Outlook. As -400 or any other inventory control system.

Previous Knowledge in reviewing documentation against good manufacturing/documentation practices.

Experience performing and participating in internal and external audits.

Previous experience collecting information, writting and presenting reports to management,

Education/Certification/ Licenses & Registrations:

High school dploma required.

BS preferred in science, business, biology, management, communications, or similar fields

Certifications as Quality Auditor, (CQA), Six sigma, Lean Manufacturing, preferred,

Familiar with 5 S and Quality process improvement initiatives is recommended

Basic math/ entry level statistical analysis preferred.

Skills:

Must have a command of the English language, excellent oral and written communication is a must for this position.

Ability to multi task

Good time management skills to be able to oversee several processes at the same time.

Good communication and conflict resoultion skills

Physical Demands:

Walking - standing 80 % of the time,

Sitting-20 %

Able to lift up and carry to 5 lbs.

Walk and drive to near by buildings
