Our client, a Chicago based, privately held food company that supplies foodservice, retail and industrial customers has a rare opportunity for a hardworking, stable food technologist with great interpesonal skills to take over the Product Development function in the organization. With one technician reporting, this individual will be responsible for helping create new products and maintain those that have created the basis for the company's success for the last 60 years.
This individual will not only create new products but also match external procucts for customers, manage processing procedures, develop specifications and samples. Experience with beverages, sauces and marinades and flavors is required. BS Food Science or related degree is preferred, and culinary expertise with some food science coursework is acceptable.
