CHS / Hamilton Farm Bureau has an opportunity in our Country Operations division. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to ensure all products packaged and shipped have met all governing specifications and to ensure all the internal Quality Control Testing programs are effective and consistent. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English, and be detail oriented.
Supervise and provide work direction to the Quality Assurance Technicians and Sanitation team.
Manage, Personnel Safety, Food Safety and Food Defense Programs, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Sanitary Operating Procedures (SSOPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Plan (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food Program (SQF).
Coordinate and manage all third party Food Safety audits that may be required by customers or potential customers.
Perform monthly GMP, HACCP, and SQF internal audits, procedures, paperwork, and inspections.
Monitor and ensure compliance and timely reporting for all Department of Agriculture, FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP, and CHS programs.
Foster a food safety culture through open communication and education with management, plant supervisors, and employees.
Work closely with Sanitation team, Plant Supervisor(s), Warehouse Supervisor and Maintenance technicians to continuously improve sanitation and quality opportunities.
Monitor Farm cooler flock inspection results and communicate exceptions with producers.
Monitor finished goods product inspections and communicate exceptions with plant supervisors and maintenance technicians.
Manage received goods program, including eggs and packaging materials, to include coordinating artwork changes for all labels, brands, and auditing suppliers.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards, correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Keep current on knowledge of all food safety regulations and laws within the areas CHS conducts business.
Participate in Industry associations as it relates to food safety rules and regulations.
Bachelor degree with 2 years of experience in food processing, OR an Associates degree with 4 years of experience working in to include:
o 1 plus years of supervisory and/or team lead experience
o Data record keeping and reporting experience.
Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) Certification required.
Computer MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, walk, bend, twist and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Food Quality Assurance Management experience preferred.
Experience in development, training and auditing HACCP or SQF systems.
Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local food safety standards.
