Food Technology Intern
analytical and technical support to operations and ensure conformance to
customer requirements for quality and food safety.
Review and audit quality and operations procedures
Document Control for quality and operations
Investigation on quality issues. Data analysis,
trend identification, troubleshooting, corrective action and communication
with regard to processing data.
Assessment of process quality parameters and quality
assurance systems, including PM, calibration, maintenance, procedures, food
safety, training and auditing.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
(i.e., Process improvement projects, development and modification of QA
procedures and documents, and assisting with process start-ups and
Techniques and Procedures to Accomplish Key Areas:
Ability to organize, prioritize and manage a large
workload with multiple priorities.
Ability to translate and communicate analytical data
to technical and non-technical people.
Ability to obtain samples from the process area and
run analytical or microbiological tests.
Use, calibrate and repair analytical instruments used
to perform analyses.
Use of tools in problem solving and decision-making.
Ability to relate technical knowledge to solve
testing and process problems.
Demonstrated ability of leadership, communication,
motivation, interpersonal effectiveness, teamwork and successful completion
Currently pursuing a B.A., B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry,
Food Science, Microbiology or Biochemistry OR 4 year science degree.
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on
possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
Must be willing to relocate.
