Sr. Scientist - Food Science Job Description:

Aerotek is currently recruiting a Sr. Chemist to execute bakery projects to develop bakery products, especially on sweet goods


Education: BS, preferably MS, in Food Science, Bakery Science, Cereal Chemistry, Chemistry or related fields.

Knowledge and Experience:
- Have 7+ years experience with a major food or food ingredients company.
- Possess strong formulation and industrial processing knowledge relating to bakery products, preferably in sweet goods.
- Possess strong knowledge in functional and nutritive ingredients such as enzymes, emulsifiers, starches, sugars, hydrocolloids, proteins, and lipids.
- Possess strong knowledge of sweet goods, laminated products, icings, fillings, snack cakes, and different types of cake items.
- Possess the ability to transfer bench top development of products and concepts to wholesale manufacturing; meeting customer expectations.
