AFP advanced food products llc RandD FOOD SCIENTIST AFP advanced food products llc, a premier food manufacturer of puddings,
cheese sauces and nutritional beverages located in New Holland,
Lancaster County, is in search of a dynamic person to fill the position
of RandD Food Scientist. RESPONSIBILITIES
?¢ Perform hands-on product formulations, pilot plant and
scale-up work on new products ?¢ Gather samples and supervise/evaluate
plant tests ?¢ Providing technical support to AFP New Holland ??s
production, quality and purchasing departments ?¢ Developing,
maintaining and improving formulations, manufacturing batch records and
specifications for all AFP New Holland products ?¢ Create and maintain
product bulletins containing ingredient declarations and nutritional
facts ?¢ Assist with product development activities at all AFP
facilities ?¢ Attend relevant trade shows, travel to other Company
plants REQUIREMENTS ?¢ A BS degree in Food Science or similar field ?¢
2-5 years of experience in food development and/or a processing
environment ?¢ Be capable of lifting 25 to 55 lbs. This demanding
position requires a self-starter who works equally well either in an
individual project situation or in a cross-departmental team
environment. This is primarily a 1st shift position but the ability to
work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends may be
