Product Researcher – Bothell, WA
As a key contributor in the
Product Research Center, you will work on product development projects
and train and mentor colleagues. You understand and define the
fundamental consumer requirements for your category and demonstrate
mastery of and create appropriate research tools for optimum product
1. Balance conflicting consumer, project and organization needs
2. Assure the execution of all research meets legal and regulatory
3. Ability to communicate effectively across the business as well as with
the general public
• Understand and define
fundamental consumer requirements of your category and inject the
knowledge into product development.
• Conduct competitor benchmarking and product evaluation to understand
the competitive landscape.
•Define product options based on in-depth understanding of the consumer
needs and competitive offerings.
•Support consumer centric product development from creation to launch.
•Make the overall consumer test plan for projects and competence build up
and check that this is executed according to legal and regulatory
•Master and create appropriate research design & tools for optimum
• Mentor and train colleagues on new methodologies and skills to continuously
improve the competence of the team.
• Promote consumer centricity within project teams and the organization.

We are looking for:
•BS or MS in User, Market or
Design Research, Engineering, Food or Sensory Science, Experimental
•Relevant education or experience in Consumer Research and/or Marketing.
•Broad experience (>5 years) in the development of consumer products.
•Experience working directly with end consumer, applicants and/or
•Proven track record in delivering consumer centered results working
with/through multi-disciplinary product teams.
•Must be process oriented and have the ability to communicate clearly.
•Must be able to work in a rapidly changing environment and be self motivated.
•Ability to work with Microsoft Office products and Visio to create good
•Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
•Strong written and oral communication skills.
•Able to work and participate in a team environment.
•Highly motivated to work in a multi-project environment.
•Strong problem solving skills.
•Strong Excel Skills.
•A strong consumer mindset with the ability to see the link between
solutions and consumers.
•Experience in consumer research methodologies and sound understanding of
the underlying statistics.
•In-depth understanding of the drivers of “consumer delight” to support
the development of the category roadmap.
•The ability to pinpoint Satisfaction and Delight factors for the
