Culinologist – Long Beach, CA
Will be responsible for creating new recipes and testing new
Develops bench top samples of new products according to cost and sensory
Participates in sensory evaluation and customer testing for new products
Works with vendors to find new and appropriate ingredients for new products
and product improvements.
Evaluates product ingredients and formulation; offers suggestions for new
product or changes to existing products.
From approved recipes performs weights and measures analysis for
manufacturing and assists with product pricing.
Supervises test runs of new/changed products and evaluates quality,
presentation and taste.
Supports QC with cuttings in lab to test new and improved products in
comparison with competitor products.
BS in Food Science, Culinology, Culinary degree or equivalent experience in
Restaurants/Hotels specializing in Mexican Foods.
Minimum 5 years experience in corporate and/or food manufacturing
Strong knowledge of regional Mexican foods and flavors
