Responsibilities
|
|
|
1) Oversee the QA Manager and provide direction (as needed)
2) Train and educate people for specific job duties/expectations
3) Enforce all safety, sanitation and GMP policies
4) Prepare and represent the company during customer, trade organization
and regulatory audits
5) Communicate with department heads, customers and suppliers to discuss
as well as resolve quality issues (as required)
6) Prepare all necessary reports (as needed by the customers, regulatory
agencies and department heads)
7) Work on current formulations to make changes as directed by the
Management Team
8) Create new formulations for new product development
9) Develop licorice items that remain soft for longer periods
10) Manufacture a product that emulates top competitive brands
11) Supervise the formulation of new snack products
12) Review our GAP/formulations and modify any formulations or flavor (if
needed)
13) Work closely with customers in regard to compliance issues,
formulations, packaging issues and maintain general relations with
customers

Requirements
|
|
|
1) Degree (4 year) in Food Science
2) 10 – 25 years of experience in safety, sanitation, auditing and GMP
(corporate experience preferred)
3) Knowledge of formulations in confections as well as exceptional
leadership and communication (written and oral) skills
