Quality Assurance Specialist
Country Fresh LLC is one of the nation’s premiere manufacturers
of high-quality Fresh Fruit and Snacking foods including fresh Sliced
Apples, Fresh Cut Fruit, Snack Trays, and Fresh Cut vegetables for
Foodservice and Retail companies across the country.
We are currently accepting applications/resumes for a
Quality Assurance Specialist – located in Houston, Texas. This is an entry
level position.
Essential Functions include:
- Serve as go to person for
guidance and resolution of quality or production issues.
- Provide training on food safety,
product quality and laboratory testing techniques.
- Ensure verification of
records and document control.
- Provide review and
disposition of hold product.
- Implement new food safety and
Quality Assurance programs.
Successful candidates will have:
- Minimum 3 years of Quality
Assurance or Production experience in food manufacturing or similar
environment.
- Strong familiarity with HAACP
and SQF preferred.
- Bachelor of Science degree in
Food Science, Microbiology, or related discipline is preferred.
- Supervisory experience not
necessary but a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft
Office applications.
- Strong communication and
interpersonal skills; Leadership and decision-making skills;
Flexibility and attention to detail.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a
plus.
