Job Description

The fellow will be based in the Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies and work in collaboration with Dr. Jeff Collmann (Center Director, O’Neill Institute), faculty of the NHS Department of Human Sciences and the O’Neill Food Safety Initiative. The fellowship will involve conducting, analyzing and publishing relevant research, helping write grant proposals, and interpreting the relevance of scientific evidence to improve food safety law and regulation. The successful candidate may contribute to teaching courses in food safety on a limited basis.
Preferred candidates would have completed a PhD in a basic or applied science relevant to food safety, including but not limited to food science, bioengineering, agricultural engineering, microbiology, biology, or chemical engineering. We seek an individual with knowledge of advanced computation techniques such as statistics and computational modeling.
