Research Associate / Scientist: Food Science




The Research Scientist I in our Product Development group will develop and execute action plans to deliver key project objectives in support of strategic plans and initiatives. 




S/He will independently carry out action plans to meet project objectives as well as identify and efficiently utilize necessary resources to achieve timely delivery of said project objectives. The ability to execute complex technical projects and demonstrate strong technical food processing experience is critical. Bench top work will consist of weighing out, mixing, and testing concentrates and flavors.  There will be spreadsheet work to document all changes as well.  The candidate will interact with lab technicians and Marketing and will run with individual projects once some training has occurred.  S/He will be responsible for developing technical action plans, optimize resource utilization, implement plans, anticipate and avoid issues and deliver "on-time". S/He will also become a strong participant in the development of strategic plans for the product or category. Lastly, s/he may act as a technical resource for entry-level scientists. 


BS required with 2-4 experience in Food Science or other closely related scientific discipline.  Has demonstrated technical competence through previous work or academic experience.  Strong understanding of consumers.  Demonstrates effective communication skills and fosters teamwork within R&D in other company interfaces.  Strong interpersonal skills.  Ability to manage multiple, complex assignments/tasks concurrently.
