Faculty - Adjunct - Nutrition / Food Science   

 

 

Summary 

Prepares and delivers relevant and current curriculum using a variety of teaching methods and standardized assessment tools that accurately reflect effectiveness of course content   

 

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

- Measures student understanding of course content

 

- Maintains accurate records of student attendance, academic achievement, and performance in accordance with university policies and procedures

 

- Distributes to each student, in each course, a university approved syllabus that is typewritten and includes course objectives, texts, attendance policy, materials required for courses, and evaluative criteria

 

- Provides typically two office hours per week for student academic advisement/consultations; communicates early with any student in danger of failure or in need of individual counseling

 

- Refers students to appropriate university sources for information, guidance, financial assistance, career development etc.

 

- Attends meetings and faculty orientation as required

 

- Performs other duties as assigned  

 

 

 Required Qualifications 

- Minimum of a master's degree in biology, nutrition, food science or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
