Job Description
Leads efforts to develop and implement a nutrition and physical activity laboratory in the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department. This includes conducting research leading to publications; extramural grant development and preparation; engineering custom software and scripting for data management and analysis; statistical analysis of data; managing basic and clinical lab work, including training personnel and assisting the principle investigator. Responsible for the assessment, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic components for measuring physical activity; assessment, operation, and troubleshooting of indirect calorimetric devices.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science discipline, with 4 years experience in a clinical research laboratory or a masters degree and 2 years of related experience. Experience with physical activity and nutritional assessment, including indirect calorimetry.

Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate coursework in nutritional science. Training or experience that demonstrates electrical/electronic technical knowledge, computer programming ability, knowledge of statistics for experimental design and analysis.

Minimum $40,906; commensurate with qualifications
