HACCP Coordinator - Carla's Pasta, Inc. - South Windsor, CT
Progressive company in CT seeking an HACCP Coordinator.
Must be HACCP Certified
This position is responsible for maintaining and revising food safety programs at the facility. This position will research USDA regulations and ensure the plant is in compliance by means of communication, training and monitoring.
Reviewing daily paperwork for accuracy and completeness and follow up as needed.
Performing HACCP/SSOP training for hourly and salaried employees as needed.
Updating HACCP/SSOP programs at least annually.
Assisting plant personnel when food safety and sanitation issues arise.
Evaluating paperwork and information for developing trends.
Reviewing sanitation program as needed, including pre-operational sanitation.
Writing policies and procedures as needed.
Must be HACCP Certified 3 years HACCP and/or Quality Assurance experience in a food processing environment.
Working knowledge of HACCP and SSOP, USDA regulations and GMP requirements.
Ability to write policies and procedures.
Ability to train others.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must have good computer skills – minimum working with spreadsheets and Word Documents.
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Food Science
HACCP or Seafood HACCP Certified
