Overview:

Under the direction of the QA Manager, the Food Safety and Compliance Technologist is responsible for writing, implementing, maintaining and updating as necessary the Food Safety Programs (HACCP Plan)and associated Pre-Requisite Programs. This position is also responsible for leading, conducting and reporting on Food Safety and other Quality audits. Develops, monitors and reports on measurable food safety objectives for the facility.

Responsibilities:

·         Lead Food Safety/ HACCP Team

·         Develop, Implement, Maintain and Update Food Safety Programs

·         Review and Maintain HACCP/ Food Safety Records

·         Initiate, Monitor and Approve Deviation and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) Reports for Food Safety

·         Conduct physical audits of Facility(s) for Food Safety.

·         Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Warehousing Managers, Supervisors, and Associates.

·         Maintaining HACCP plan for all new products, processes, procedures

·         Gatekeepers of PRP and OPRP

·         Conduct/Facilitate HACCP/Food Safety Training for all Associates.

·         Other Duties as Assigned

Experience:

·         Min 3-5 years of experience in Food Manufacturing Environment preferably in a Quality.

Education/Certification/ Licenses & Registrations:

·         BS Degree with minimum 3-5 Years Food Manufacturing Experience

·         HACCP Trained/Certified

Skills:

·         Basic Computer skills with moderate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite

·         Visio Experience a plus

·         Ability to influence peers

·         Experience leading/managing Change Control

·         Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization

·         Ability to stand for long periods of time, climb and occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.

·         Must be able to read and write in English

·         Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
