Lead a team of quality and food
safety technical managers who are designing, developing, testing and
evaluating food safety and quality control protocols, policies and procedures
for qualifying new suppliers and monitoring approved suppliers for the
following raw materials: carbon dioxide, nitrogen, high fructose corn syrup
and other corn-based sweeteners, sugar and high intensity sweeteners
(including aspartame, sucralose, acelfame potassium, saccharin, stevia and
Direct team members who are analyzing statistical data of suppliers and
comparing to ingredient specifications to determine whether the requisite
supplier(s) can meet these specifications.
Supervise team members who are inspecting U.S. and global suppliers•
operations and procedures to ensure HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical
Control Points) and GMP or equivalent practices are maintained, and determine
if proper security and quality control measures are in place.
Oversee team members that grant authorization to use these raw material
Assign work to team members who are determining and enforcing required
protocols and quality objectives, as well as recommending •best practices•
for food grade ingredients; will oversee discussions with vendors, staff, and
management personnel regarding procedures, product specifications and storage
capabilities for sweeteners and beverage gases.
Review work of team members who are using their ingredient knowledge of
the above noted raw materials to monitor and assess the analytical, sensorial
and microbiological effects these ingredients may have in carbonated and
non-carbonated beverages, as well as in snacks and foods.
Report to management about the performance of team members who are
troubleshooting quality and food safety issues between suppliers and
Lead team members who are coordinating with R & D to develop and enhance
beverage gas and sweetener ingredient specifications.
Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding, procedures,
product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production
problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
Requirements: M.S. or higher in Food Science, Industrial Engineer or
related field. 6 months direct experience or 1 year related experience doing
the duties of team members will be leading, directing, supervising, assigning
work to, setting schedules of, reviewing work of, and reporting to management
about the performance of.
