Job Description

Maintain the highest quality standards of product through verification of quality/food safety systems. Lead the team of Quality Assurance Managers in the company’s facilities to achieve company goals. Oversee the development, implementation and enforcement of Quality Assurance policies and programs.

Monitor competitor food quality and benchmark competitor quality to company food quality. Ensure quality Assurance Auditors fulfill their responsibilities such that co-packers, suppliers and company manufacturing facilities are in compliance with federal, state and company requirements. Develop strategic plans for advancing food safety and quality systems based on changing needs of the business.

Explores and recommends high-potential innovations in process, procedure and technology. Provide leadership and direction to QA Managers at different processing facilities to comply with divisional quality programs, including HACCP, GMP’s and regulatory compliance. Develop credible relationships with suppliers and customers. Qualifications:

*BS or MS .Biology, Chemistry, Food Science or related degree, with technical competence in microbiology. *5 years experience supervising in the food manufacturing industry – experienced with canned foods is a plus! *Experience with Global Food Standard Initiative such as BRC, ISO, SQF. *Expertise in regulatory affairs and requirements – GMPs and labeling laws for FDA, USDA and other appropriate agencies. *Ability to effectively work cross-functionally with groups such as production, maintenance, human resources, etc. *Demonstrated leadership in creating, supporting and contributing to the culture of the company. *Strong verbal and written communication skills. *Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and ability to master other software such as SAP.
