Global Quality Assurance & Food Safety Auditor (Job Number:011066) - Tampa, FL

Global Quality Assurance and Food Safety Auditor offices out of home and will report directly to the Director of Global Quality Assurance and Food Safety. The primary responsibility of the Global Quality Assurance and Food Safety Auditor Is to manage, inspect and report on supplier compliance to Bloomin' Brands requirements.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

To inspect food processing facilities to ensure compliance to Bloomin' Brands requirements.

To schedule travel and appointments to supplier locations within auditor's focus

Will require 80 to 85% time traveling away from office domestic and international

Other Key Responsibilities Include:

Work with Bloomin' Brands and Outback International purchasing agents in approving new suppliers and monitoring of current approved suppliers, both domestic and international

Work independently in scheduling annual supplier evaluations for suppliers

Evaluate new suppliers as assigned by purchasing agents for compliance to Bloomin' Brands food safety requirements

Report all current and new supplier evaluations to purchasing agents both approved and unapproved

Cross train with other Bloomin' Brands food category auditors

Write supplier follow up letters, listing all defects and concerns as noted during evaluations and monitor the corrective actions to insure compliance to Bloomin' Brands and regulatory requirements



The ideal candidate will have the following experiences and qualifications:

Minimum of a BS Degree in Food Science and 5 - 8 years of total business experience in Food Processing with emphasis on Quality and Food Safety

Some international company experience preferred

Proficiency in government regulatory requirements

Experience in all facets of Food Safety and Quality program management, developing and implementing action plans and analytical review
