Quality Assurance Supervisor - Wornick Foods COMPANY Wornick Foods is a leading supplier of convenience foods and military
rations including the U.S. government and other large Consumer Product Goods
companies. We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor. LOCATION This
position is located at our Blue Ash corporate facility. REPORTING STRUCTURE This
position reports to the QA Manager. SUMMARY The
Quality Assurance Supervisor ensures daily execution and continuous
improvement of Quality Assurance programs necessary to ensure compliance with
applicable regulations and customer requirements. DAY TO DAY
RESPONSIBILITIES Provides
direct supervision and leadership to the Quality Assurance Leads and
Technicians enabling them to be self-sufficient and directly supportive of
the Business Units objectives and goals. Monitors
and reviews records generated by Manufacturing Process Control and Quality
Assurance Technicians. Works
collaboratively with Operations and Supply Chain to assure that each area of
the manufacturing operation is within the applicable specifications as
required by internal and external requirements, prior to authorizing product
release for shipment. Leads
basic and root cause analysis sufficient to provide effective correction and
preventive action reports, in response to Quality system failures, audit
non-conformances, customer complaints and other findings. Responsible
for managing Quality holds, generating and gaining approval to rework and
salvage instructions, and ensuring effective execution of approved
disposition in a timely manner. Other
duties as assigned. SKILLS Bachelor
of Science degree from an accredited college or university plus a minimum of
three to five years experience in Manufacturing is
required. Experience in a Quality role, manufacturing shelf stable (retort)
and frozen foods is strongly preferred. A working knowledge of Thermal
Processing, HACCP, Auditing, SPC, GFSI Certifications and Food Labeling
regulations will be required for successful performance in this role. COMPENSATION PACKAGE Competitive
