Lead the development of requirements for food safety hazards within food locations at Walt Disney World developing sustainable mitigations for incorporation within the operational processes through the Performance Alignment Program. Assure that applicable food safety, public health, and labor codes and standards including HAACP and sanitation processes are aligned with the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Food Safety Program and are incorporated into the program. Working with other safety professionals reviewing all Walt Disney World food carts, quick service and table service locations equilibrating them to locations at Disneyland to develop comprehensive food safety input to operational documentation, training, and auditing.

This is a project hire position.

Basic Qualifications

·         Proven experience and strong understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)

·         Minimum 5 year(s) of food and beverage experience working in food safety

·         Demonstrated experience in USDA food recall program and process as well as supply chain auditing

·         Demonstrated ability to interpret, develop and execute programs using the FDA Food Code

·         Working knowledge of safety risk analysis techniques including hazard and fault tree analysis

·         Demonstrated ability to network and influence a diverse mix of working disciplines

·         Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail

·         Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities

·         Work experience with geographically separated, multi-site, operational facilities

·         Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills

·         Demonstrated computer proficiency within a Windows environment

·         Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including overtime


Preferred Qualifications

·         Proven understanding of regulatory standards including the states of Florida, California, Hawaii and South Carolina

·         Knowledge and understanding of Walt Disney World food safety policies and procedures

·         Experience in food safety outside of the US

·         Experience in design and plan review of food establishments

·         Experience in auditing of food establishments


Preferred Education

·         Master’s degree in food safety related field or equivalent


Required Education

·         Bachelor’s degree in a food safety related field or equivalent
