- 3-5 years’ experience
preferably in product development of Food Processing Company.
- Minimum of B.S. degree in
food science or related science.
- Strong project management
- Strong planning,
organizing, and communication skills. Ability to independently
organize and lead cross-disciplinary teams for problem solving, and
rapid development of new concepts.
- Solid technical background
including understanding of product formulation techniques,
microbiological and sanitation principles, sensory evaluation,
shelf-life extension, processing technology, regulatory compliance,
NLEA, GMP, HACCP,USDA, Organic and an understanding of plant
physiology is a plus.
- Strong computer skills
including Word, Excel (Spreadsheet, data entry, etc.), Math and
statistics a plus.
- Physical ability to conduct
plant trials requiring climbing of catwalks and stairs in a
refrigerated, wet processing environment.

Reporting to the
R&D Manager, this position is responsible for:
- Creates new
product prototypes and market-ready products, and application of new
technologies, processes, and systems.
- Designs and
conducts various tests and analytical procedures related to the
development and improvement of new and existing products, including
shelf-life testing, sensory evaluation, packaging testing and other
recommendations to various groups, both internally and externally
for product and/or package changes as required.
- Recording and
management of internal data, written and verbal reports, summaries,
evaluations, and file management related to the above and other

functional teams to ensure the success of new and or improvement
projects from bench-top through commercialization.
- Participates in meeting with Marketing Department,
which involves program development, brainstorming sessions,
timelines and project status updates

sales and marketing efforts, through technical assistance, customer

Pac and Private Label branded labels, films and carton graphics for
regulatory compliance and provide technical feedback.
- Maintaining adequate inventories of ingredients needed

training of R&D Technicians.

and communications with internal and external customers.
