The position requires a Masterís degree in Food Science or Food Engineering and three years of experience as a Food Scientist in the food product development industry. Experience must include three years of the following: product development of consumer packaged foods, including Ready to eat snacks; supervisory experience in plant operations; sensory testing including focus groups, brainstorming, preference/ acceptance tests, Home Use Tests and ethnography; and scale-up of products from concept to manufacturing; and one year of experience with analyzing and recommending ingredients to clients making food products. The position requires approximately 20% domestic and 20% international travel.

Bunge Milling Inc. seeks a Product Development Manager in St. Louis, Missouri to develop new food ingredients from concept to commercialization in the areas of carbohydrates, corn, wheat and rice; recognize new opportunities and build prototypes; evaluate and change various processes and/or equipment; create and evaluate alternatives; work at bench level through full-scale manufacturing; evaluate potential new suppliers; partner with clients in R&D to develop consumer research strategies; evaluate alternate processing methodologies for improvements; and develop solutions to a wide range of formula, processing, and efficiency problems.
