Job Description:
Work in
full-time 172-day faculty contract position, teaching animal science, food
safety and agriculture-related day and/or evening courses in established
and expanding animal science-food science program that offers multiple
options for postsecondary education and workforce training/preparation;
employing lecture, hands-on, cooperative learning and additional teaching
methods; serving at on and/or off-campus locations; advising students;
participating in curriculum development and committee work; related responsibilities.
Requires working knowledge of farm and ranch management, agribusiness and
agronomy; or bachelor’s degree in relevant field and evidence of intention
to complete appropriate master’s degree; related requirements. Preference
for master’s degree with emphasis in animal science and/or food science or
related field; community college teaching experience; knowledge of
computer-aided learning strategies; ability to teach and motivate students
of diverse learning styles and backgrounds; additional preferences.
Salary
schedule placement based on qualifications and experience. Extensive
