Position Summary Information

Position Description:

This position will assist in the quality analysis of northern grown crops, primarily wheat, soybeans and barley. You will also assist in the development of new products utilizing northern grown crops with an emphasis on developing food products that contain barley and support market and product development with the food barley industry. You will also help to develop educational programs promoting barley ingredient utilization.

Minimum Qualifications:

-B.S. degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or science related degree.
-Experience in collecting and reporting test results from a variety of analytical procedures.
-Demonstrated ability to understand and operate laboratory equipment.
-Effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Minimum two years of laboratory experience
-Foreign language, preferably Japanese
-Experience in product development, using barley as an ingredient
-Experience in working with people of other cultures
