Position Summary
Oversee all aspects of QA function. Assist R&D activities, and new
product production. Report directly to the operations manager.
Essential Job Functions
Monitor product/process to ensure compliance with specifications and
regulations.
Develop performance standards for quality and food safety. Track plant
performance and provide timely analysis report.
Prepare for, manage and respond to third-party performance audits.
Investigate customer complaints and work with management team to implement
corrective/preventive actions.
Work with management team to improve manufacturing processes, product
quality, and yield. In addition, resolve bottlenecks to improve throughput.
Maintain and update specification manuals for raw materials, manufacturing
processes, labels and finished products.
Certify new vendors and recertify existing vendors.
Participate in R& D activities as directed by the General Manager and
Plant Manager.
Requirements
B.S. degree in Food Science, Meat/Poultry Science, or Biology.
QA work experience highly desirable.
Strong analytical skill and problem solving abilities.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good computer skills to generate reports and perform data analysis.
Very customer orientated.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Able to work and make decisions independently.
