About the Job
Our client, a leading manufacturer of food
products is seeking a Quality Manager for their facility located in the vicinity of
Rochester, NY. Our client offers and excellent

The Quality Manager will ensure that the food processing facility
maintains the highest level of product quality, sanitation and food safety in
accordance with all regulatory requirements and company policy. This is
an exciting opportunity for an experienced quality professional to work with
a leader in the food industry. Other responsibilities include:
Supervise and develop staff. Establish department goals and objectives.
Maintain various policies and Standard Operating Procedures including:
HACCP, GMP, food safety, pest control, internal audit procedures, etc.
Determine cost of quality within the facility and make appropriate
Utilize various root cause analyses and corrective action procedures.
Oversee the analytical and micro labs.
Develop and manage the department budget.
Provide supplier qualification criteria and periodic audit procedures.
Participate in plant safety programs.
BS Food Science, Microbiology or related field.
5 years experience in quality assurance, including 2 years in food
HAACP and SPC certified.
Knowledge of thermal and non-thermal food preparation techniques.
Experience with lab operation, equipment and testing protocols.
Working knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to food
Effective interpersonal, project management and communication skills.
