A restaurant linked to an
e-coli outbreak at the University
of Guelph has
re-opened. The Pita Pit was shutdown November 6th. However, testing turned up
no sign of e-coli in any samples from the University's restaurant. And the
Health Unit says it didn't find any concerns regarding food handling.
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph says there are 7
confirmed cases of e-coli 0157 in the Guelph
outbreak and another 51 probable cases. It's part of an outbreak that's also
affecting Waterloo, Niagara
and Halton.
