Overview:

Will provide assistance to the Quality Assurance management by organizing and maintaining records and completing other assigned projects as necessary.

Responsibilities:

         Responsible to comply with all Quality and Food Safety Management standards and/or systems to ensure continual improvement and effectiveness of the Food Safety Management System with the ability to satisfy customers and provide products that are in accordance to their intended use and safe for human consumption

         Responsible for organizing and maintaining records, such as, data collection entries, spreadsheets, specifications, permits, outside company contacts and any other department related documents as necessary

         Perform sanitation process verification prior to release of Manufacturing line for processing through visual checks and ATP swabbing

         Perform GMP and Food Safety Audits to ensure compliance to published food safety and quality standards

         Perform verification of manufacturing process checks, ensuring they are performed at specified intervals. This includes, but not limited to, Production and QC records, inline magnet records, metal detector records and product labels

         Perform investigations when online contaminations and/or metal detect failures/deviations occur

         Verify and Monitor maintenance activities, scheduled or unscheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM)

         Store and Maintain retention samples and samples for Pesticide and Heavy Metal analysis

         Perform product cut-outs, a critical evaluation and assessment of the previous days pack to ascertain that the items produced are in conformity with published product specifications

         Perform QC and Production record reviews and sign-off during the manufacturing process to ensure that Dole Food Safety and Quality Systems are enforced

         Maintain the Hold and Release Program, which includes maintenance of records

         Responsible for maintaining/validating the Food Safety and Quality Management Systems HACCP, ISO and SQF programs

         Responsible for performing outside warehouse audits and internal audit systems

         Assist in special projects assigned by Quality Assurance management which may require calculations, computations, creative design and critical thinking skills.

         Will need to read and follow written instructions carefully.

         Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Assurance management.

Qualifications:

         Must have an Associate and/or Bachelors Degree

         Must have prior laboratory experience (supervisory experience a plus)

         Must have the ability to multi-task

         Must be assertive and able to function independently

         Must be able to recognize and correct any quality problems

         Ability to exercise good judgment and decision making skills

         Complete tasks in a timely fashion

         Be dependable and willing to work overtime as needed

         Must have excellent reading and writing proficiency

         Must have PC skills - proficient in Windows, Microsoft office applications, Lotus Notes

         Must have competent math and report writing skills
