Title: Food Technologist - Illinois

Location: R & D

Position Summary: Act as a member of the R&D team to complete scale-up of new products and work on product maintenance and cost improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

·   Conduct bench-top screening experiments with selected functional ingredients evaluating the sensory impact / boundaries in various product systems.

·   Complete formulation work to ensure flavor & functional ingredient compatibility

·   Develop plans and conduct sensory optimization with functional ingredients

·   Work with cross-functional partners (Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales) to develop and manage project timelines to meet business objectives.

·   Develop product specifications and work with Documentation/Regulatory/QA to finalize

Qualifications:

·   B.S. Food Science or Food/Chemical Engineering.

·   Minimum 4 years of food product development experience including formulation and benchtop techniques; preference for food experience

·   Strong PC skills

·   Strong analytical skills

·   Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
