opportunity for a Technical Service Coordinator working for a food
manufacturer in the Los Angeles area.
Responsibilities: 1. To create and maintain nutritional, raw material and
finished product specifications. 2. To maintain external and internal
technical document database. 3. To request and create technical import and
export documents such as Certificate of Free Sale. 4. To issue import /
export certificates, nutritional and product specifications. 5. To ensure
the technical database and documents are maintained current and updated. 6.
To complete customer technical questionnaires. 7. Assist Manager of R&D
/ Technical Services Dept and Technical Services Manager on special
projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Food Science / Technology / Nutrition or related
field. 2. 2 - 5 years of food Technical Services / (QA) Quality Assurance /
(R&D) Research and Development experience. 3. Formal / ISO
documentation control experience is highly preferred. 4. Strong working
knowledge of electronic / web-based technical database. 5. Demonstrated ability
to perform detailed-orie nted work with a high degree of accuracy. 6. Ability to write clearly
and succinctly about technical concepts, including the ability to research,
design, and write new documentation as well as to maintain and improve
existing materials. 7. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, written and
verbal communication skills. 8. Must be a self starter, team player and
truly enjoy working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. 9. Possess
intermediate / advanced skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook,
MS Power Point and Adobe Acrobat.
