Analytical, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time experience Food Chemistry
Laboratory Manager for its Headquarters location in Cinnaminson, NJ. EMSL
is a growing commercial environmental testing laboratory. This position
offers the chance to work for a stable company that is team oriented and

Working
under the direction of the MIFR Group Laboratory Manager
, the candidate will be primarily responsible for the sample
preparation and testing of food products for nutritional content and
product safety.
Day to day
the successful Laboratory Manager would be expected to be the first point
of contact for existing customers and sales staff and also serve as an
ambassador for the laboratories services to potential clients.
Focused on
the quality, turnaround time and the commercial side
A talented
chemist with a good appreciation of FDA, BAM, AOAC & ISO17025 methods
and guidelines as well as the contract analytical laboratory service
business.
Requirements:
BS, MS, or Ph D Degree in Organic Chemistry,
Analytical Chemistry, Food Science.
5 years of
laboratory experience in commercial food testing lab
5 years
(minimum) hands on analytical experience of food analysis by HPLC, GC,
GC/MS, LC/MS, ICP, etc.
5 years of Nutritional Analysis experience.
Experience
in quantitative analysis, trace analysis, method development, and sample
preparation techniques.
Proficient
at data calculations including percents, ratios,
common statistical data, common algebraic formulae.
Must have
strong management skills and organizational skills.
Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Attention
to detail and understanding the importance in maintaining legal chain of
custody and client confidentiality.
Excellent
organizational and time management skills are necessary
Ability to
work in a fast-paced work environment
Must have
excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Must be
able to work some weekends to meet business demands if needed.
Knowledge
of basic computer skills such Microsoft Outlook, word and excel is required
Hours:
Monday – Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM but flexibility is required.
This position is full
