This position will provide technical food safety
and quality assurance management for the food productions division.
Responsibilities include the execution of a routine product auditing
program, products/supplier approval, developing specifications, and aligning
specifications/suppliers to maximize consistency and performance. Overall
understanding of food processing, food science, food safety and quality
assurance process and continuous improvement. As well as the new
technologies, analyze and solve problems, and pro-actively address
1. Perform routine audits on products based upon
food safety risk, signature ability and dollar value. Consists of
complete physical, chemical, microbiological and sensory evaluation of
products, analyzing data, producing reports, and communication of results
internally with purchasing, product development and suppliers.
2. In conjunction with product development, develop
all new product specifications to include product/supplier approval, plus
establish, communicate, and document specific product performance
criteria. Provide technical support to new and/or existing products and
processes, and conduct shelf life studies to verify attributes such as
flavor, color, texture, and analytical measure to establish nutritional,
physical, chemical, and microbiological values.
3. Work with suppliers to drive consistent product
quality improvements by improving existing processes and products with
new technologies. Design and conduct experiments to evaluate materials,
packaging, and processes, and align specifications to include packaging
options, finished product processing, etc. Develops new and improved
methods and systems for quality control measurement and for

of examining internal and co-packer specifications for completeness,
quality and technical detail and aligning product performance standards
with plant operations and co-packers. Also, act as FSQA lead on all alternate
sourcing, product optimization and product reformulation projects..
